Plant Pilgrimage Pyrenees

A five-day women's pilgrimage through the flowering mountains of the Eastern Pyrenees, beginning at Summer Solstice and following ancient paths through valleys, lakes, and wildflower meadows.

The Wildflower Trail of the Eastern Pyrenees

A five-day botanical pilgrimage through the high mountains of the Eastern Pyrenees, beginning and ending in the beautiful valley of Eyne Village. This immersive trekking route weaves together remote mountain refuges, glacial lakes, alpine meadows, ancient passes, and flower-rich landscapes celebrated as some of the most botanically diverse in Europe.

Following old shepherd paths through the dramatic Carança Valley and across the high plateau of Bouillouses, the journey reveals an ever-changing tapestry of mountain flora. Orchids, globe flowers, alpine snowbells, gentians, carnivorous sundews, cotton grass, saxifrages, and the rare Pyrenean lily accompany the walk through diverse habitats ranging from limestone cliffs and peat bogs to granite lake basins and alpine pastureland.

With nights spent in traditional mountain refuges and days immersed in wild landscapes, this route offers more than a hike, it is an invitation to slow down, observe, and deepen your relationship with the plants, and the living ecology of the Pyrenees. A journey for botanists, herbalists, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a deeper encounter with the plants of the mountain world.

Led by two folk herbalists and plant ceremonialists, we will explore meeting these plants in a truly special way, connecting deeply with nature, the mountains and the landscape within.

Expect tea tastings, plant ceremonies, story & song, deep prayer with the land, breathwork, wild swimming, stunning landscapes and a rich sense of community and purpose.
